About

Harry H. Warner, Jr.

As a corporate banking officer and serving on a couple nonprofit boards of directors, I witnessed that nonprofit organizations needed business-minded help.  It was a calling to serve in that capacity.

Harry Warner brings 35 year’s professional experience in leadership, business development, and managerial effectiveness in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors.  His experience provides expert knowledge in nonprofit management, fundraising, human resources, strategic planning, marketing, and financial administration. Harry has a demonstrated ability to develop strong community relationships and to build effective teams to successfully implement strategic and business plans, achieve fund raising goals resulting in over $50 million raised to date, and to fulfill organizational missions. He remains actively involved in the nonprofit and fundraising community at the local, state, and national levels.

With over 12 years consulting for nonprofit organizations, Harry created his own nonprofit consulting firm, Warner & Associates Consulting, in October 2020 advancing organizations to success.  He provides fundraising, strategic planning, governance, and operations consulting services. He previously had been the Executive Director of the Virginia War Memorial Foundation and Chief Development Officer at the American Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar (now known as the American Civil War Museum).

He also has over ten years in commercial banking beginning with Dominion Bank (now Wells Fargo Bank), a $12 billion bank holding company, progressing to Vice President with Regency Bank (now BB&T Bank), a Richmond community Bank and First Virginia Bank – Colonial (now BB&T), a $11 billion holding company, developing new business and servicing multimillion-dollar loan portfolios.

Harry served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army as an AH-1 Cobra pilot, attack helicopter platoon leader, and as division air officer in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Awarded the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal. Honorably discharged as a Captain.
